Thank you for liking The intro and the story.

I think I kinda over did it. But for the tech demo. I'm going to make many parts of the intro interactive where you have to solve  small puzzles that follows the flow of the story in the intro. Already have one done. The new verbs sometimes I think why do we need read and lookat. Like say safe in the attic in Mansion Mansion. This is a not a really good example but. Read verb you would say it's to small to read and look at could say It's a wall safe and the hinges  look rusted.

I gess it's just away to get more info from a hotspot or object. You can test it out in the tech demo.


The follow verbs. Using this will make other kids follow you and stop following you. Say if you want Dave and Syd to go up stairs to 3 floor you can make Syd follow Dave up there. But The interface is kinda complex but no where near the complexity of the original Maniac Mansion For NES and C64.

As overall things are going good. Right now I'm putting the intro to the main game project. I made it into a basic starter pack for youtube before.


I Guess the intro will be like a small game. And dont worrie the main game and the game intro have two differnt hot spots to start them so you dont need to watch the intro everytime you start a new game or play.

Working on the tech demo of MMNS. It I will be done soon hope. Have you all seen the new movie version of the intro on you tube?

And one more thing. For the character dave I need some ideas for emotional, action and personality animations he could do.

I have a problem With two of the new verbs. They work right but when you click them its says walk to dave.


Its the two Verbs Read and Follow+. Read is Button 8 and Follow+ is Button 13.

I dont know where to fix this? Could it be in the on_mouse_click code??   Can someone show me where this code is to fix this.

    Her hair will look normal in game. I had to Shave her hair down just a bit so her head would fit and the select box allso when you pick her.

Ya cool. If i can find room on the gui i add them.   Sneak will make you walk slower and you have a % chance of the edison not seeing you. 

Mabey i could give a special Verb to each kid. Im not sure what verb thou :(   And i think the follow verb would save time. like not having to move one kid up stairs and move the other one.



Its still going to be awile before this game is done. :(

To make other kids follow you  and stop following you . So you dont have to waste time moving one kids  and the other to the same place. Take them to the same place at the same time.  The Mansion will be pretty big and this will save time.  I should make rules that you can only have 2  kids follow you at a time. Mabey i should put in a optial setting for this.  For 1 to 3.

I going to have many test games that will not really have a story.  Just tests with backgrounds, Doors, puzzles, chars and other imported things.


Right now im not going to worrie. Like i said before one thing at a time. Right now im been working on backgrounds, the game design and Blue prints.

Mostly Backgrounds and more backgrounds.  :o

Well I have decided to continue the production of Maniac Mansion The New Saga no matter what the odds. If it takes me to the year 9999 to make this game i dont care but im sure it will be done much sooner. Also this game will not be hurried or rushed. LOL  I going to Improve the design and my skill for this project. And im not looking for praise but serious crits and helpful crits NOT Harsh Nonsense. I have nothing to do what they post I cant control this. If they like my backgrounds and give me praise so be it.

 When i wanted to make this game i didnt think it would be easy. Anyway i dont like working on easy projects. Easy is not for me. You need to have more faith in this game and not judge it yet. Its not even done. The beta Intro story I made it so you dont understand whats going on. And will keep you wondering to the full game comes out.  I really Really care about the evolution MMTNS. If i didnt I would not be still working on it.


Oh and I CAN pull all of this off. Except Scripting part For now.
